We spent our last day in Crete sailing with Nikos. It was the perfect way to end our trip to Crete. The sailing was great and Nikos made us a delicious lunch he called snacks with meatballs his great aunt made, Greek salad, bread, wine fruit, sweets. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the places we passed on the sail. We would definitely do this again if we come back.to Crete!

My wife and I had a fantastic full-day sailing experience with Nikos! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Crete! We met Nikos in the morning at the Souda dock, just a short drive from our hotel in Chania. Nikos took us aboard, and we set sail into the Souda Bay. Nikos explained to us the basics of sailing and gave us a thorough lesson on controlling the sails and driving the boat. With his guidance, we took the controls and sailed along the beautiful coast of Crete. Nikos pointed out some very interesting historical landmarks along the way and told us about the history of the island. Around mid-day, we anchored near a small, quaint beach, and swam and explored, while Nikos prepared us a delicious lunch. After our tasty meal, we slowly made our way back, just in time for the start of the sunset. On the way back, we relaxed on the front of the boat and enjoyed the scenery, while Nikos took the controls.This was a really fun and unique experience, and we really enjoyed the private aspect of the tour. Thank you Nikos for the great time!

What a fantastic experience. We had a full day private boat trip, my husband and I. None of us have been on a sailboat before. Nikos was just brilliant. He explained about sailing, the wind, the area and also gave us the chance to do some sailing on our own. My husband was stearing the boat, we pulled the ropes and trimmed the sails etc. We started in Souda port, went along Kalami and went for a short visit ourside Almyrida before we set the sail for Marathi on the other side of the bay. There we anchored up and went for a swim while Nikos prepared a delicious lunch for us, consisting of Greek salad, bread, meatballs, pasta etc. On the sailing back to the port, laying on the deck in the shade under the big sail we even fell asleap for some minutes, until Nikos came to serve us some fresh fruit. We had a fantastic, relaxing, interesting and safe sailing experience. Thank you very much, Nikos! I will highly recommend this trip.

We hired a full day sailing trip, and it was absolutely wonderful! What a GORGEOUS SAILBOAT, we felt like VIPs. Just my husband and I for a pre-Birthday celebration, we had so much fun, jumping off and swimming while Nikos cooked an amazing meal. I ate the best olives in my entire life on his sailboat, thank you Nikos mom for those fabulous olives and his aunt for the yummy meatballs. I highly recommend hiring Nikos, he is experienced and professional, really knows the wind and his boat well. The meal was fantastic, very Creten, simple yet fresh and delightful. A lot of fun and we felt very comfortable, as though we were with family. We had a highly enjoyable day, we will do this again....and again I am certain :)

We spent a full day sailing around Souda Bay with Nikos, and we couldnt have asked for a better time. All 6 of us agreed that this was the highlight of our trip to Chania. We started the day by sailing out of Souda Bay. Nikos is a skilled sailor, and knows the area very well. He was very thorough in explaining the basics of sailing, and we enjoyed his knowledge of the bay, its surrounding areas and hearing about his experiences sailing throughout the years. After we all took a turn at sailing, we anchored in a little secluded bay. Nikos prepared us an amazing lunch, while we all dove into and snorkeled in turquoise, crystal clear waters. We sailed back to port just around the time we were supposed to. Nikos went above and beyond and even called us some taxis to drive us back to Chania, after our ride fell through. All in all, this was an amazing experience, Nikos was an incredible host and we cant wait to do this again on a future trip to Chania. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone that has the time while in Crete.

Nikos sails with a sailors heart using the experience and skills he has gained over the years. Both of us are competent sailors yet Nikos provided two days of exceptional sailing (as going once was just not enough)! With good fortune we found the wind both times and were able to experience two separate coves where we swam and enjoyed fantastic freshly made meals by Nikos. Communication with Nikos was simple and straight forward using email and Whatsapp. A huge thank you to Nikos for providing two fantastic experiences and for sharing his passion for sailing with us!

Nikos is a wonderful host. He was waiting for us when we arrived. We had beautiful weather. Very comfortable Sailboat, with plenty of room. Nikos also made a great lunch while we swam in a quite Bay.

We were looking for a day on a beautiful sailing boat, visiting some coastal beauty spots, eating a fantastic lunch and swimming in the most welcoming bay. Nikos delivered and then some. We had great fun helping with the sailing, which none of us had done before, Nikos was great company and his freshly cooked lunch was a delight. We all agreed that the day had flown by, always a good sign.

We had a wonderful day on the boat with Nikos At first there was no wind but later on we found it. We had a good sailing day, with a nice relaxing lunchbreak at Marathi bay. On the way back in the bay, again good sailing with 7 to 8 knots and my oldest son at the Wheel! Thanks Nikos for the good day, Maybe till next year.

As a family of four, with two daughters of 11 and 9, we booked this trip with Nikos via email. Communication was perfect, Nikos sent us his position with WhatsApp so it was very easy to find the boat. There was free parking at the port. Once on the pier, he was very kind to come and greet us even before we got to the boat. His English is excellent, just as a native speaker. His boat is 43 feet, very comfortable, new, very well kept. I can state that having done some research about what is available in Chania area, the price was very honest for what we got. And we had the boat all for us, so very comfortable! We did the tour of Souda bay as planned. Lunch (after a great swim) was especially delicious, a combination of cold and warm food. It exceeded our expectations. Please see pictures. We were lucky because there was just the right amount of wind so we could sail. Nikos was kind enough to let our daughters drive for most of the trip. We started to sail at 9:30 and were back at 17:30, as planned. Thank you Nikos for a wonderful day!

Nikos, thank you so much for this day! Thanks to you, we learned to drive a sailboat. Next time we will definitely take a tour of Santorini.

An absolutely fantastic sailing tour with the most charming skipper you can ever wish! We booked just an 8hr trip, but that day wasn't enough at all - wed love to have more and surely well take a journey to Santorini next time with Nikos! Totally recommended for families, friends and teams as an unforgettable experience of a real sailing! See ya, Nikos!

We had a wonderful day sailing - a really comfortable yacht - expertly skippered by Nikos - who also rustled up a delightful lunch while we were swimming in a gloriously blue bay. It was a just beautiful day and such a relaxed day as we sailed out of the bay - swimming in the bluest bay was equally splendid Heartily recommended regardless of your sailing experience as Nikos has it all under control

This day was one of the highlights of our trip to Chania-Crete. Nikos was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge and did everything he could to ensure we had an amazing day. Food served for lunch was fresh and very tasty and the hands on experience of sailing is something that you dont get to experience on every holiday! Thank you so much Nikos!

My friends and I spent our last day in Greece sailing around with Nikos and had an absolutely amazing day. It was the perfect way to celebrate one of our friends birthdays- a day we will never forget! We had never sailed before but picked it up quickly and helped to sail all day but with plenty of time to relax too! Lunch was delicious, made from wholesome, locally sourced foods. The bay we stopped at for lunch and swimming was stunning. Nikos was so friendly and an excellent host. The whole day was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone who is holidaying in Chania!

To get an appreciation for Crete you have to take time on the water. This is a well equipped boat that comfortably fit 9 visitors and the skipper. We had a full day sail mixed in with food, swimming, excellent sailing. Learned some history, culture in an easy environment. The skipper did an excellent job accommodating our group and various interests... from hands on sailing to simply laying around and working on our tans. I would recommend, sun block, the cooler temperatures (vs. Florida) and boat shade made a few of us forget to cover up. I would also recommend discussing what you are looking for with Nicolas, he will work with you to meet your needs, hospitality comes naturally to him.

I chartered this boat for several days to explore several islands around Crete. Nikos the skipper is extremely knowledgeable about the region and his vessel, and he us a pleasure to hang out with generally--very amicable and patient, he allows you to get as hand's on as you like. With 20 yrs in the US, his English is perfect. The boat is large--43--and was comfortable for the three of us. It is rigged for stability and felt safe and secure in 20 knot winds. The food was fantastic--serious fests around the cockpit table--the islands beautiful, the sunrises and sunsets over the Med unforgettable...all in all, a fantasy vacation. I highly recommend this vessel, captain, and experience.

We had a phenomenal day aboard Be Happy. Our Skipper, Nicolas, was a pleasure; knowledgeable about Chania, Crete and a wonderful cook! The boat is super comfortable and sails very well. We are glad we included this as part of our adventures in Crete.

We stayed 3 nights ( September 2018) on the comfortable sailboat. What a great experience - living on a sailboat. The little harbour sheltered the waves and we had a very good nights sleep and enjoyed our time on the boat. Chania is just a short distance away and there is also a lot to explore in the surrounding area. Nikos took us on a one day sailing trip ( we had to wait until the weather conditions were right and on our last day we were lucky and had the chance to go) He showed us how to sail, which was great fun because we were total beginners and while we swam, he surprised us with an amazing spread of very tasty local dishes for lunch. We had an awesome time. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience. We enjoyed it so much.

This sailing trip is a must when coming to Crete! My husband and I were taught to sail by nikos who is very knowledgeable and an experienced sailor. He took us to a gorgeous cove with turquoise water and made us dinner! Perfection. The price is very affordable for an 8 hour excursion and dinner.

We had a marvelous time sailing with Nikos. We learned how to sail and the history of the local attractions. He cooked a delicious traditional meal with locally grown veggies. I highly recommend taking a trip with Nikos.

Nikos was an amazing guide! We went for sailing from morning to evening. While we were snorkeling, he prepared a delicious meal on the boat! We saw a lot of different places arround Souda. We totally recommend!

What an amazing time! We spent 3 days with Nikos on both land and sea adventuring up to the villages in the mountains and sailing to the farthest tip of the bay. He cooked us incredible Greek food on the boat and took us to the best restaurants. We were so lucky to have found Nikos and would have spent more time with him if we could. Its amazing to see the island through Nikos eyes. If you are looking for a genuine experience please go this route! You are the BEST Nikos, hasta la próxima vez mi amigo. ¡Abrazos!

Great day all told , despite the unfortunate weather we got while sailing , nick is great company and is very friendly. We were all very much beginners in sailing but had a right go and had much fun , recommend to anyone, even as a family day out

I was in Chania crete aboard this boat sailing with Nikos that is an experienced sailor And he likes to teach you what he knows He is simple marvellous. We talk about many things , he is also a good chef because he prepared a nice Greek lunch and becomes not also a tourist service but become a friend I am sure we can see again and enjoy more amazing moments in Orion !

This is not your typical tourist boat trip - its a day with a friend on his sail boat. When you meet Nikos, its like youve known him forever. He is genuinely warm and personable, an expert helmsman and knowledgeable guide. You will be able to help sail the boat even if youve never sailed before, learn Greek history and eat delicious local farm to table food. To make this trip complete you must sleep on the boat and have Nikos also take you hiking or on a car tour. This is definitely something to put on your bucket list!

My husband and I spent a few days on Nikos boat and he took us out for a day of sailing. Souda Bay was beautiful and Nikos is a very patient, kind and experienced sailor. We got to help with the sailing. We stopped in a lovely turquoise laguna and went swimming as our personable tour guide prepared a delicious Cretan lunch. Also, we were able to go hiking around some ancient monasteries, to a real pirates cove, under the scrutiny of some whimsical mountain goats with Nikos as our tour guide. Another day, he took us on a driving tour through the gorgeous mountains of Crete. We visited two wineries, made a few village stops, took many pictures, and Nikos answered our many questions and had lots of interesting facts and stories to tell. Finding Nikos made our trip to Chania (Han-ya) absolutely fantastic and unforgettable!

I stayed on the sailboat, and purchased the sailing expedition. We had a great day sailing! I learned a little about sailing, more about the area, and he made great food! Highly recommended. He also gave good local advise for the duration of my trip.

Dont hesitate to book this trip. I spent two days on the boat and it was the one of the best times of my life. Nikos is wonderful person who really goes the extra mile to give you a special experience. When I arrived he picked me up at the airport and provided a tour of local area before taking me to the boat for my stay. The sailboat is docked in calm harbor within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, coffee. I slept very well on the boat.The next day Nikos arrived for our day of sailing with plenty of food and drink and we set out. I learned the basics of sailing as we navigated the area. Nikos knows the local history and theres plenty to see and learn about. While the wind was not perfect for sailing that day, however Nikos is very experienced and this was no problem. He made the best of it and took me to quiet lagoon and prepared lunch while I went snorkeling in the turquoise waters. Lunch was delicious and the best food I had had while in Greece. I am very grateful for my stay. Thank you Nikos for everything. I would not hesitate to return.

Wonderful and gracious host and teacher. Captain extraordinaire with the sailing lessons and the gift of the helm with his watchful eye and sea awareness. Making us feel supported and safe. Loved the calm lagoon we rested for our snorkling adventures midday. Returning to the boat Nikos had prepared a local farmers market lunch. The sea air made our lunch bursting with flavours. The rest of the day was spent sailing the cool blue majestic sea around the island. An invigorating and memorable night and day excursion. An experience we look forward to sharing again. We had a great day with Nick on his boat. The marina is close to the city and very easy to get there.The boat is an older lady but in nice condition and a very safe. Nick is very kind and excellent guide and experiented sailor. Hi knows every beautiful place around and will show you so much as a possible. We had a nice trip to one of the most beautiful small laguna i ever seen and while we were diving hi prepared a tasty great greek lunch from lokal and home made delicatesse. Nick was a great company and we dont had a feeling of at we are paying costumers more like old friends. We still keeping touch and we definitely going to see him again.
